Sooooo, Julia Allison seems to be blowing her own proverbial trumpet again, with the announcement of her new column courtesy of Tribune Media Services. Not sure why that's such a big deal, but hey, some people really do believe that all publicity is good publicity. In fact, here she is in the video below for WGN News, talking all about how wonderful social media is, using perfect examples like how useful it's been in Egypt. Ahem, if only someone would turn the internet back on. Let's take 3 minutes to watch Julia's pearls before we continue:

Call me old fashioned, but I remember I time when people used to do their own work, and if people cheated they used to keep it on the down low. Perhaps Julia could write (or get her intern to write) a column about Faking Your Whole Internet Persona.
