Fairytales
I wish I could watch this show and count my own blessings, but instead I sit there and think, "Oh my god - maybe quality management is just another bullshit fairytale I'm going to have come to terms with as an adult."
Like the idea that freelance writers can afford designer clothes. Or that being young and childless means you spend your nights at bars with your loyal and constant group of friends. Or that "dating" as an adult entails many actual dates. It's a lie, kids, it's all a lie!
But seriously -- does anyone work for a genuinely good manager? Or are we all just laboring under people who put zero effort into how they manage staff or projects?

Meat Market
Courtesy of Brian Moylan at Gawker this is precisely why not to go the Meatpacking District:
"It's full of Scandinavian tourists, hoochie mommas from New Jersey trying to have their Carrie Bradshaw moment, and guys who wear a jacket and tie to hide the fact that the fattest thing on their body—next to their wallet—is their gut. There's even an Ed Hardy store down there, for fuck's sake."Amen.
